Competition Holiday Disaster - PLEASE HELP!

Hi guys,
I'm really hoping the expertise on here can help me out. I won a holiday to Egypt last August with the Sunday Express. The competition was handled by a company called allbury travel group who i have just found out today have gone bust - they didn't write to tell me, i have had no notification only found out as i was trying to book meals for the flights and they weren't answering the phone so i googled them.
I rang ATOL and they told me that the only way i can get them to honour it is to get in touch with someone at the sun express and find out if they have paid for the holiday. However all my contact was with allbury i have no details of anyone i could speak to at the sunday express. Does anyone have a contact or has this happened to anyone else?
I am devastated. Was soo excited with this prize.
Any help gratefully received.
Thank you

oh god thats awful for you.
I doubt that the paper paid for the holiday - it would have been donated by the company but there should be some kind of honour somewhere shouldnt there as if hte flight and accomodation is booked already???

Oh no, I'm so sorry, what a let down

Maybe the Express will be able to give you a replacement out of goodwill? It's worth contacting them to see what they say. I took this info from the website if you call one of these numbers they should forward you to the right people.

Thanks both for your help. I am completely gutted. I have been entering comps for years and my dream prize was always a holiday.
I have been in touch with the Express and they were very helpful and they are looking into it for me but i am supposed to be going in a few weeks time.
Just can't believe my bad luck.
HUGE THANKS! To all those who post comps and answers0 -

ALJ are the administrators who will now dealing with this. You need to call them first and see what they recommend. I wish you lots of luck with this, but when a company goes into administration or receivership, creditors (which you are) are treated equally, and there is normally a long line of creditors, and a very small fund.We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0 -
