I don't think you can get real borax anymore
I had a borax substitute and I didn't rate it at all - I find soda crystals much better

Borax has been withdrawn
all to do with EU directives on safe packaging

as they have changed the classification of Borax it now has to be in a tamper proof package
you can now buy Borax substitute, Sodium Sesquicarbonate
its actually called Borax substitute, and comes in teh same boxes are Borax did

I bought a big bag on ebay recently after all my local shops stopped selling it. I put it in the washing machine with soap nuts.
You can also use it to make a funny rubbery/gooey material with PVA and water, just for fun.

My local pharmacy ordered it for me after Boots sold out and couldn't find it anywhere else. Superdrug no longer stock it.Clearing the junk to travel light
