Well - yes...it is all well and good for someone to say this when they've reached the age of 90...

I think/know humanity has mucked up big time - and the main thing we've done to achieve said "mucking up" is to overpopulate the Planet.

Errrr.......he has EIGHT:eek: children himself.....(I gather thats from more than one wife - but lets just hope its 4 wives with 2 children each - because, if not, then an H word is coming to mind here possibly (depending on when they were born - ie before or after the Pill/legal abortion) = hypocrite.

Let's get a sense of perspective....

I think it is fairly obvious that we will destroy the planet as we know it, one way or another. Like the last boom, the bust is inevitable, but again, it may not be the 'experts' who predict the cause correctly. It may happen next week, or in 10000 weeks.

In Universe time none of this matters much. Life will probably go on in some form or another and continue evolving..... well, until the really Big One in approximately 4.5 billion years.

Even then, of what concern will that be to the Universe, when a minor star comes to the end of its life?

I'd say 'Don't worry. Be happy.' is as good a slogan as any to live by.
