Just to point out AGAIN that this is for 16 to 19 year old bikers. The legal limit for bikes is 1.0mm and not 1.6mm like on cars, so for all the grabbing monkeys that don't need them, shame on you. This was a safety campaign aimed at a specific group of people (ie young adults) and I assume would be hoping to reduce deaths on bikes due to inadequate tyres. Congratulations if you applied for one and don't ride a bike, congratulations if you are not in the targetted age range - just hope you have the dignity to return it!

I clicked on the link when it was first posted and none of that information was there. It referred to a 2mm tread depth gauge - which isn't useless for a car. There was no mention of bikes, there was a background image of bikes but it was well covered up and was easy to miss. I looked for T&Cs as I thought it might be only for Kent but there was no confirmation of that anywhere and nowhere did it say it was for 16-19 year olds only - I can't remember if it asked for DOB. I haven't received one but didn't lie on the form - so maybe they realised they hadn't put 16-19 yr olds in Kent only and only sent out to those people.
