hmmmmm. Very odd call from my OH. 'Would I drink Strongbow?' 'Yes' was my answer......(would never be first choice as it's quite chemical tasting but I wouldn't turn it down so didn't say that!).........'ok, just off to Tesco'............erm.........ok
He never and I mean never ever says would I drink something, or want a bottle of something etc. He never turns up with a bottle of wine or stuff like that. I asked if everything was ok and he said 'yep, see you in a bit'.........
Odd........the only thing I can think of is either
a) His son's girlfriend is doing her beauty qual where I work and I realised she was due a concessionary fee and got her a £350 refund this week (also got to meet her for the first time, she's a really sweet girl). Apparently his son asked if I would like wine or chocolates as a thankyou - OH said 'she'd only want a card' (I get the idea but could have been a bit more subtle in replying for me!)
b) Earlier this week he managed to wipe his USB by overwriting his current work with all his old files:eek: and was facing 10 days unpaid work to sort it (he's a contractor and self employed) and I asked the young lad who used to be the IT apprentice where I work if he knew how to help. He came in today with a programme on a stick for me and I got OH to come to where I work to pick it up. Perhaps he's retrieved the info and wants to say thankyou (unlike him, he finds it hard to say thankyou without there being a 'it would have been better if...' or something similar)
I think it's probably a) and he's buying it on behalf of his son.

Sal - the other night, I half heard something really late, as if a bag or 'something' was being placed outside the house. I jumped up (heart thumping!) to see if anyone walked down the drive, but they didn't. OH was asleep on sofa (no surprise there!) but I was too scared to open the door to see if anything had been left!
