Wooden Vaneer Laminate??

Is there such thing as Wooden Vaneer Laminate?? and can it be sanded down and re varnished after?? I know its a crazy question but my ex bought and fitted all my floors, and someone has mentioned maybe i could sand them down instead of replacing them? Thanks in advance xx

    I think you can sand down engineered wood - it fits together like laminate? Is that what you mean?
