My son is in the army, he is based down in Leicestershire and his home is in North Yorkshire. now he travels home on a weekend and goes back sunday night. that is 160 miles home and another 160 the way back.
Now, my son does not claim any travel expenses, and ive told him enough to see about it and what he is entitled too.
Does anyone know what soldiers are entitled to regarding travelling to and from their bases to home.
cheers.

All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

Chapter 5 section 3 "Get you home (early years)"
If he's in his 1st 3 years of service he can get 4 return journeys a year0 -
Not a claim as such but a lot of guys out here in Germany do some kind of "Car Share" at weekends and that splits the cost 4 or sometimes 5 ways.
Just an idea.0
