RTC - reduced to clear. Same as YS (yellow sticker) or Whoopsie. Our A!di rarely seems to have much, but I can get some bargains at work. Planning on heading down before close tomorrow (which is an hour earlier than normal) as they're not opening on Sunday so there should be more than normal. But I do need to sort the freezers tonight/tomorrow to see how much space I can make first ;)

Rozeepozee If you open wordpad and put your all replies in that first then copy and paste to reply box then you will not have to remember anything and it does help if you are afraid of your post disappearing before you have finished.
Not long to go now. I spent the last three weeks lying beside a fan most of the time with my last one because it was hot and he was big.

HUGS_001.JPG (hope that works and is not too big...

Concentration just went to mongolia so only on page 2.

Got tobacco (but then kind of lost it with delusions, despite my as required meds of a freddo and a fudge :). Works wonder normally). Got no more recovery plan done last night :( just lost it. Was up till midnight then slept in clothes. No work done either.

But no clothes (clean variety) has made me reach for the needle and try and finish off my scrappy dress (I have it on right now otherwise they'd be pics) made out of duvet covers etc (freecycle).

Sun here today all you Gods and Goddesses :D.

Don't know how cold it is though

Have BBQ this pm (going to be late after therapy) and then don't know. No free tea tonight though as normal :(. Have about £2 for food literally till Tues (if I stick to budget)...hmmm. out of that I have to buy marshmallows for campfire @ veg garden tomorrow. Don't know where's cheapest and nearest though.

Period pain not as bad and not as heavy since reducing fish oil for 2nd half of
month. Apparently some ppl suck lemons for heavy periods (read in raw food diet book gotten on a bad food day). That's why I am experimenting reducing fish oil. Would orange juice be as a good as the lemons? Just a thought. My psych will know all about this being an ageing hippy so if all else fails will ask him.

And I have my appt through for my lump (in a place I'm not good at being examined) so praying I can find someone to go with me (for the after effects. Will be brave but might freak after). I kid ye not...certain things like cake and choc I should get on prescription!!!

Got weighed by depot (monthly injection) nurses and it had gone up a wee bit (but think that was constipation) so Dr. C will be pleased.

    Tis all my snooze....

    Blessings

ps. re new hifi gotten tues

Was a good purchase. Maybe a bit OB but really worth it. Turntable is better than old (a lot better. I'd have paid £10 just for the turntable LOL) and sound really good. So because I've not spent on work this week I've still saved. Pray I don't get too confident now else I really will major whoopsie...

Cottage pie has been demolished, I was hoping to save some for my lunch tomorrow but DS has just put pay to that. Just out of interest, I was wondering how many portions/meals you all get out of 500g of mince? I can get 5 maybe 6 portions with bulking but maybe I need to do more? Any help greatly appreciated :D.

Frugal activities this evening will be:

watering seedlings in greenhouse - hopefully they haven't all hidden from the awful weather

card making - 4 birthdays (must do) and easter cards (if I get time)

    packing for the weekend

hide the cakes in the freezer, mainly from myself :o

have a dig about in present stash for said birthdays

not so frugal, pick DD1 up from her b/f but he's only down the road and his parents do their fair share of running the two of them about as well so I don't mind.

She's desperately trying to get a job but nowhere will employ kids now until they've finished their exams. I can't afford to keep subbing her, especially since giving up work but I feel guilty knowing she wants to go out and about and it's not exactly her fault she can't get a job. Catch 22 situation I think, not sure it will change in the current climate but living on the coast I'm hoping she'll get some summer seasonal work.

Right, must get this card making started. Have a nice evening everyone.

(Waves to NYK and hopes she's managing ok in the snow !) xx

Jtb, that is the amount of meals I usually get from 500g of mince here as well, 2 adults and 2 teen boys.

The trick I have found is to take the extra portions out before dishing up so that they are put away, out of sight.

So although they are in theory leftovers, the meal does indeed stretch to the correct number of portions, I always serve bread as a filler with meals apart from a roast,(use yorkshires) , as that can stop the need for seconds.

apologies, can't do caps as baby is lying on my left arm.

erme - i use the 1000mg vit c tablets for my periods. seems to be helping.

dh has just got his untaken hol as a lump sum payment. last night we went to boots and stocked up on baby stuff that was on offer. got two vouchers of £2 cosmetics as i'd quibbled a price that was displayed incorrectly and the only was they could rectify was to refund and then charge the correct price as a separate transaction.

have just ordered a bulk buy of tesco offers (all stuff i use). we heavily decluttered the kitchen last weekend so now can easily see what we have/don't have.

i was finding it hard after having baby as can no longer do anything at all without getting interrupted. but my friend suggested i think in 15 min chunks so i don't get so frustrated. this is working well and i am able to feel that i am achieving more. but it does mean that i have to be organised and have stuff available, hence the mega stockpiling.

baby is gorgeous, i have to say (despite 2 megapoohey nappies in the night!). apparently she looks like daddy but has my cute button nose. And she is as good as gold with other people.

Whitewing it will get better. The 15 minutes idea is good. I do that when I feel overwhelmed. I use a timer if I have to, it is amazing just what you can do in that time.

    Hi Everyone
I haven't posted for a while but I have loved reading all your posts and keeping up with you all. I'm still working hard trying to live the frugal life and I have managed to fill my ISA this year (never been known before) so I'm feeling chuffed.:j Enjoy the Easter holiday everyone.
