Hi everyone,
OH has been here this week, so spends have one slightly awry. We did manage to go to the cinema yesterday for £3.50 each
so that was v.good. Almost ended up in a car crash on the way home though - some **** overtook a car coming the other way, and missed smashing into me by maybe 3 feet. Good job we were not in OHs car as I know he would have turned around and chased after him. It was dark, so did not get his reg, but it really shook me up.
Anyway, had a days training today in a local warehouse (through an agency), but it seems everyone got their wires crossed and the job is actually full time not part time. As I have agricultural commitments over summer, I dont want a full time job, so the hunt goes on.
Top Drawer - Single cream does not have enough fat content to be whipped, so its only good as cream or in sauces.
XSpender - Big well done to you
Rozee - Have I congratulated you yet? If not, then have some celebratory wishes from me. If I have, then...have some more.We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Morning all. Working from home this morning. Haven't been around much recently, so have a lot of news to catch up on I see. I would love to be able to put pics on here, and create wonderful congrats type logos, but I cant even make my wording larger or more colourful. I can see where the icons are, but they just don't seem to work when I click on them. hmmmmmmm. Any advice gratefully received. But this will have to do - my heartfelt congrats on the twins - my DGS were smaller, and they are growing into strapping lads. And congrats on newly debt free - a marvellous feeling I am sure. This week hasn't been frugal at all. I drove to Yorkshire and back in a day for DD's birthday, and we filled her cupboards whilst I was there, then went to garden centre for birthday treat - thank goodness its only once a year. I took up some whoopsied food I had in the freezer for her, and had made a rhubarb crumble from some rhubarb donated by one of the old hands at the allotments (we dont have any yet). Was a wrench to come away again - I only had time to read a short story with the 3 DGS as its over 3 hours drive each way.0

Forgive me frugalers, cos I've been bad. When I'm good I am good, when I am bad I am VERY bad. This weeks spending has been off the scale; a new handbag come backpack, a pair of shoes, a bra and a pair of knickers. This now puts my 'Anything Else' budget seriously at risk, especially as I love the fit of the bra and thinking I should get another one. I am still trying to figure a way that I can cheat and not include these essential holiday requirements in my budget.
I should have thought about this when setting my budget and it was pretty foolish of me to think I could go away without buying anything new. I'm going to leave it where it is at the moment so I can keep an eye on it and try to cut back elsewhere, as I'm sure there will be a few more purchase over the next couple of weeks - but will ultimately aim to offset this from holiday spends. It's fair to say if I wasn't going away I definitely would not have considered buying the shoes or the bag, but I really did need a sensible pair of shoes, or my holiday would be pure misery with sore feet.Mortgage

Kiwisaver - Every girl needs a good bra! Lets face it, we need all the support we can get. And my mum said you should have a good pair of shoes and a good bed, cos if you arent in one, you're in the other - so thats got the shoes covered. But the bag............. struggling to justify that lol0
