Cheap room in Edinburgh 8th April required

Hi guys, im in need of a cheap room in Edinburgh, near to Waverley station on Thu 8th April. Due to the possible rail strikes i cannot get to Waverley in time for my train down to London at 7 30am. So me and the wife need somewhere to stay. I found Travelodge at Shandwick place for £45 which is fine, but cant book it yet as its non refundable, and if train strikes dont go ahead....you get the picture!!!
