Annoying buyer...
SaveForSummer
I sold an item to a buyer for £2.99 and when it arrived, it didnt fit her child so she asked for a refund. I said that would be fine but she would have to sed it back first and she said I'd have to pay £4 for postage (which is insane in the first place as it only cost me £1.17 I think to send) and I said I wouldnt pay that for the postage. She said she'd leave negative feedback if I didnt pay postage and I said I'm not paying £4, more than the product was sent for, plus returning the cost of the product (the £2.99). She replied that was fine and she wouldnt bother sending it back and said she threw it away. She then left negative feedback stating that I was unco-operative and sent an entirely unsuitable product and that nobody should ever buy from me. I asked her to alter her feedback because it was unfair and she refused. I then contacted eBay and they said they wouldnt remove the feedback because she must have had a reason for putting it there but she had to send the item back if she's going to complain about it and leave that sort of feedback and have asked her to do that.
She's not replied at all to it though so is there anything else I can do about it or am I stuck with negative feedback just because I refused to pay £6.99 for a product she paid £2.99 for?

You may be able to get it removed if you show ebay the e-mail where she threatened tp leave a negative if you didnt pay the £4 as they may class that as feedback extortion.
Failing that then all you can do is leave a reply to the feedback that will show other buyers you are a decent seller, not a rant which will put people off.0 -
Okay I guess I'll try that. It's pretty annoying that they can demand that sort of money though and get away with it.0

Yes, it annoys me a lot as well. They've still not replied with whether they'll send it back or not.0

I don't think you have to refund the return postage and if I remember rightly the buyer has to return it using a signed for method so that is probably why it was so much more. Can I ask, had you misdescribed the item in some way? Someone please correct me if I am wrong but I thought that unless the item is faulty or misdescribed in some way then (possible unless you are a business seller) you don't have to refund just because the seller doesn't like it. If you accurately described the size I can't see where you were in the wrong

I agree with techno; if you put reasonably accurate (or even approximate) measurements in the description then its buyer beware and you dont owe her a thing.£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Your not to know that it doesnt fit her kid... This should hopefully be resolved by ebay especially if you show the emails threatening negative feedback. Also make sure you add her to your blocked bdders list0
