Did anyone else get this
Name(s) on cheque(s) and paying-in slip must match. Please be aware that all cheque(s) for cahoot current account must match the same name(s) as shown on the paying-in slip. If the names do not match, in order to prevent fraud, cheques will be rejected and returned.
yesterday. The reason I am concerned is because I arranged for a loan in my name to be transferred into an account in my wifes name and I am worried it will bounce.
thanks

I got this message as well. Not a problem, unless the people that send you cheques can't spell your name correctly... could mean waiting for the right cheque from people who don't want to pay you...... Fool's Gold ...0

This is a new Abbey policy from the end of Feb. Previously it was acceptable to pay in cheques made out to "Abbey" or "Abbey National" (or "cahoot"). From the end of Feb only cheques made out in the name of the account holder will be accepted. It's a fraud prevention measure.0
