Presumably as you only received JSA for 6 months this was contribution based JSA and you now do not qualify for income-based JSA? What are you living off, do you have a partner with an income or a redundancy payout?

My partner works full time doing shiftwork and his shifts change every week.
We live off his wage and tax credits, as I am still signing on for my NI stamp because I am still looking for a job I am still able to claim on my mortgage policy because the JC sign a form once a month.
Obviously because I am not working I have taken my child out of the nursery they were in when I worked part time because I am currently at home unemployed.

There should be normal playgroups/pre schools in your area which should be funded.

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

    Hi

Thanks I am aware of these. I was under the impression these were 15hrs for free a week term time and my New Deal unpaid placement will be 37 hours a week for four weeks, not sure if they will do it in term time or not as that will give me another child to find childcare for. Will Flexible new Deal pay for the rest of the childcare including childcare in the holidays if I have to attend then or do their placement

If you have already been out of work for 12 months do you actually have much longer left to claim on your mortgage protection? It may be that cover runs out before you the course anyway so you wont need to sign on for the credits.
