I have today received a statement billiing me for a visit to the vets on 29/09/09. Although I have been to the veterinary surgery since this time, they did not advise me that I owed any money, nor have I received an invoice or statement until today - 6 months and 2 days after the event. Am I still liable to pay this sum?

Deja-vu on the forum again.....
If you received the service, yes.My farts hospitalize small children0 -
If you had the service 6 months ago, you must have been expecting a bill/invoice surely.
Of course you are liable to pay it, you had your animal cared for by a professional.
Just for the record, bills can be chased for up to 6 years...........make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
yes you have to pay if what they claim is correct and you agreed for the work.0

If you've already paid, just show them the credit card bill or bank statement.
If you haven't paid, then yes, you still owe them the money.
Or are you saying you didn't visit the vet on that date?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
