Ran malware bytes. trojan.dropper found - shall i delete?

Arrgggghhh! The dreaded blue screen. Thankfully, it's been a while since I've seen that....................still send shudders down my spine.........

try this it might just help. close pc down but make sure nothing is in cd/dvd drive and there are no pen drives still in usb ports etc. unplug pc from wall socket and monitor as well. then press your start button and keep pressed in for 30 seconds. then reconnect everything and restart pc, let us know what happens

have you installed or updated or rolled back any drivers, changed or installed memory etc in fact is there anything at all different about your laptop now as to when it was running ok. This is definitely pointing to a hardware or driver problem

Hi, Its a laptop rather than a desktop. I havent changed anything on it recently. Its done this before though. When I try and burn anything to CD or DVD it wont let me and just freezes. Its been doing that since it broke last time.

In which case im afraid im all out of ideas. All I can suggest is uninstalling things to see if it makes any difference (AVAST for example)

Maybe run a registry cleaner to see if that helps too (especially once something is uninstalled)

Download CCLEANER

Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)

reboot

Download GLARY UTILITIES
http://www.glaryutilities.com/download/gusetup_slim.exe
Run the ONE CLICK scan
Goto MODULES / SYSTEM TOOLS / WINDOWS STANDARD TOOLS / then run SYSTEM FILE CHECKER

Ran the first one and there were 15 errors/problems.
ran the second one (Glary Utilities) and there were 160 errors/problems. Pressed to repair them all so hopefully this will help.
