I have a few hundred contacts in Outlook, I've been trying to import them to the address book in the Dymo LabelWriter 320. I've followed the instructions but I'm obviously doing something wrong because they import but the addresses look like they've been written in the Symbol font

Please help meeeee :D

How are you exporting them from Outlook? CSV format? What does the CSV file look like? Is it readable?

I've exported them as an MSBCM file, it did this automatically. I double-checked the help file in Dymo, it says it should be MSBCM.

When I open the file, it opens in excel with the same strange font.

There's a Dymo button in Outlook Contacts, on the toolbar. I could print straight from there but would rather use the Dymo because it's quicker.

I've tried it again, this time I saved it as csv file. When I open it, it opens in excel in English (hoorah!). But it won't open properly in Dymo, some of the addresses are postcode only, some show half of the address, and others just say '000000'.

I'm ready to give up, and type them all in manually

.csv files will open by default in Excel if you have it installed. Right-click and choose Open With and select Notepad - it's just a text file.

See Importing into the DYMO Address Book.

Thanks Chippy, I'll have to wait til tomorrow, it's for the office computer.

Strange how it says csv file on their website, but msbcm file in their help file
