Moved to Australia

My friend moved to Australia nearly 2 years ago. She had an outstanding credit card debt of approx £2500 which she left money in a bank account to pay off the minimum payment each month. However the money has nearly run out and I know she is struggling at the moment. If she stops paying what is likely to happen?

Thanks

The bank will issue a default - then taker her to court - the court in her absents will issue a county court judgement - if the judgement is not paid then they will send out bailiffs to the address that they have in the uk for her (is this her parents house?).

However they wont send them to australia....

as far as I am aware personal debts are not internationally enforceable. However, this will mark her credit record here, which could be a problem should she return. ANd any assets she has here (house, car etc) are fair game.

Would they send baliffs to Australia? I am worried that her parents might be contacted in her absence
