Get a VOIP phone - Australia is only 1.2p a minute (Free if OP has VOIP)I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi,
With Regards to KAI666 comment about the 08442009595 advice, does this still apply if I ring from a landline but to a mobile in Oz?
To the OP - how long has your daughter had the phone? It is a new phone and a new contract then I'm sure you could come to some arrangement with the company. Obviously your daughter needs to face up to this problem but I'd hate to see her credit rating ruined for the next 6 years or so because of an error like this.
Good luck in sorting this out.

the reason your sons phone has lost eight pound is because he is a member of certain ring tone companys who charge pay as you go customers as soon as they put credit on for ringtone downloads.0 -

This happened to my daughter every time she topped up her phone. It turned out that she had downloaded a ringtone for what she thought was a 1 off payment, when in fact it cost £1.50 per week. Whenever she topped up, they took out however many weeks she owed. They will keep doing this until you text "STOP" to the ringtone company.the reason your sons phone has lost eight pound is because he is a member of certain ring tone companys who charge pay as you go customers as soon as they put credit on for ringtone downloads. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
