Halifax charging interest again on DMP
Comments
-
Sounds to me like the late payment caused a default on the account for the payment, which reverses it back to start charging interest. CCCS have been very late with some of my payments recently which has caused this for us. Looks like it is all sorted now though. EOS solutions rang me on the 24th March to say they had not received a payment but the payments from CCCS were only sent on the 24th, but they did advise me that my payment for January had only got to them on the 18th Feb. It is easily sorted, but many creditors arrange set dates for payments to reach the account and if 1 payment is 1 day late it can trigger it to start charging again. You may find that when its negotiated with CCCS that the Halifax will refund charges etc, hopefully!!!
Also you say you started your DMP 6 months ago, well some creditors only set up the arrangement for 6 months then they require another upto date Budget sheet to get it going again, in other words they hope you may be able to afford more money to give to them.0
