Is your claim for pain and suffering only, or loss of earnings as well?

yeah the personal injury claim is for an accident on my back which happened in a public library.

Did someone throw the book at you for dodgy dealings? :rotfl:

I doubt they would find out, but try and stick to the rules a little bit. If you go underhanded and get caught they can extend your BR for years to come.

If your bankruptcy was a debtor's petition there is a question on there about any outstanding court action. I believe this should have been included there. If you don't tell them you are breaking your BR agreement and it could lead to a BRO and/or more detailed search into your affairs.

and not counting a suspension of discharge for non compliance meaning your bankrupt till the receiver says otherwise

Yep, knew there was a third reason. He'd be in company with Kerry Katona then.

I recieved a PM from OP. OP I would prefer to discuss things on the thread.

It is simple, you don't need to have a clear cut answer other than this... ANY thing financial should be disclosed to the OR's office. It is for them to decide what you do or don't get to keep, they know the rules. The good people on here can only guide you in what the outcome may be based on the info you have given not tell you whether to hide some possible financial info or not - which is how i'm reading your questions..

You have to declare everything mate OK, you signed that legal document to say you woupd be open and honest regardless of any outcome.
  • I have gone through this, so I know what I am talking about.
You get to keep the payment for suffering part of the claim and any payment for adaptive needs shoes and future medical ops etc but the OR will keep all loss of earnings.
I would be honest and open with them, also they can get bank statement from your existing bank.

When you pay the cheque into your bank, the bank will almost certainly tell the OR - and then you're in trouble for failing to disclose. Just not worth it, especially when you will be receiving the money anyway.
