I had my Asda shopping delivered today. Have just checked the best before date on the 6 pinter of milk, & it runs out tomorrow :mad:Replies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If it's not being done right, it's obvious staff aren't being trained correctly..
I don't think so, you can train some people until you are blue in the face, but once they are doing the job and not being watch they don't care how it is done.
Not everybody has grown up with a burning ambition to be a shelf stacker, some of them are only there because it was the only job they could get. Some of them are there because their parents have said "You are 18 now, we are not supporting you any more, so go out and earn some money".
These people will sit through the training and nod and say yes they understand in all the right places. But once out on the job they don't want to be there and don't care how badly they do it.0 -

I've worked in the shop my dad works in (did for a year, then got promoted and moved store for the next year) You're taught how to date check, move stock around.
The store got rebranded a Tesco's Express, and my dad is in charge of the deliveries, which can be 2-4 a week from each supplier (two main ones) He and everyone else has been taught FIFO, he's been shifted when new stores are opened and taught them the same. It's reflected in the store's waste bill, and you get bonuses for hitting target, so if you don't hit target, you'll know why and HATE that person/persuade them to do things right.** Total debt: £6950.82 ± May NSDs 1/10 **** Fat Bum Shrinking: -7/56lbs **
**SPC 2012 #1498 -£152 and 1499 ***
I do it all because I'm scared.
