I had a PPI policy sold to me by a garage when i bought a car the loan was through welcome finance.
I complained to Welcome Finance and the garage - welcome finance stated they did not sell the policy and said i should direct my complaint to the garage. I spoke with somone at the garage to see if they had received my complaint and he said "its in the bin" which i was shocked at since then i escalated the case to FOS. However they have now come back to me stating they are unable to investigate as the garage were not covered by their jurisdiction when the policy was sold. They do go on to say that i can bring a claim against the underwriter of the policy.
how do i find out who the underwriters are?
Thanks
Andrew

Cool, then write to these as you have done with the other, if they do not accept then move on to the FOS. Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

i have spoken to welcome and they now beleive the were responsible for the sale. It would of been much easier if they said this 3 months ago when i first complainedHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If they said this three months ago then they would have possibly paid you by now. If your claim is worth £2,000 and they have 500,000 complaints obviously adding up to £1,000,000 then the longer they can keep it the better for them.0
