how much is solicitors fees?

i am currently selling my house in Northern Ireland and want to purchase a new house. Just wondered how much i should budget for solicitors fees.
i bought my existing house 2 1/2 years ago as a first time buyer and my fees were £550 now i am selling that house and want to buy a new house.
anyone got an idea?

My selling fees for the solicitor are £650 plus VAT and buying fees are £750 plus VAt,based upon the purchase price of the property(£400k)
On top of that we have disbursements and searches of around another £300 and then the 1% or 3% stamp duty on top.

mines as follows buying a property at a value of 163,000
Legal fees: £375
Vat Charges £65.63
Stamp duty £1,630
pre-Exchange Search Fees £260
Pre Completion Search Fees £10
Bank Telegraphic Transfer fee £23.50
Land Registry fee £150
Total £2,139.13
Solicator Charges £375
Complete Total Cost £2,514.13
As for the stamp duty!
I pay enough tax as it!
