Replacement shower hose leaking!

I have just replaced the hose for my shower (something I have done several times before without any problems), but this time water is escaping from the bottom of the connector which screws onto the water outlet. I have used the new washers supplied with the hose and have swopped ends but to no avail. The hose was from a well known DIY store, and stated on the pack it was suitable for use with a combination boiler system which I have. Has anyone any idea what the problem could be.
Thank you

have you removed the old washer/seal?
it maybe damaged. and dont overtighten the connection.
some of them only use a single seal.Get some gorm.0 -

Thanks Ormus - yes I've removed the old washer so only using the new one. I originally tried with the old washer, and when it leaked replaced with the new washer. Have also tried without any washer at all. Same amount of water escaping in all 3 cases!0 -
check the end fitting carefully. old and new.
they must be the same. some are just flat unions and some have bevels or spigots.Get some gorm.0
