Tip on sowing small seeds individually

Can't remember where I found this tip but it works!

If you are trying to sow small seeds very thinly try this:
Shake a few seeds into the palm of your hand
With other hand take a pencil, lick the end (I assume there is no real lead in pencils these days! If in doubt, dip it in some water)
Then dab at a seed with the wet pencil lead and you SHOULD be able to pick up just one seed.
Push it into your compost and hey presto!

Admittedly this won't work with seed that is as fine as dust, but it really does work with small seeds that are otherwise impossible to pick up with your fingers - try it!
