Who is to blame Santander or Barclays

:cry:I have been waiting 7 weeks for Santander to transfer my cash ISA from Barclays.I have been back and forward to Santander who say they have sent Barclays a chaser letter 4 times and heard nothing.I now find out from Barclays they have not recieved the transfer request but have only recieved the chaser letter.What should i do now please,have i lost out on anything.Santander opened my new ISA but the transfer is the problem.Thank You

  • If I were you I would put the whole thing in black and white, state your dissatisfaction and also mention if this is not resolved you intend to file a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman. Lost interest should also be claimed back since they have failed to transfer your ISA in a timely fashion.

    ive been to barclays today and asked them to transfer money from my savings account to santander ISA (my 1st ever ISA) and checked santander after 2 hrs and surprised surprised its already in my account just as barclays told me. by the way, before that, santander said it normally takes at least 3 working days before they received the fund... though im not sure how it works with ISA transfers..
    i wish i have live my life a little bit off the book, took a chance and gamble :whistle:

    It's completely different when it comes to ISA transfers, unfortunately, with it often taking weeks for a transfer to be completed. Barclays do seem to be particularly bad at transferring ISAs out.
