Washer tripping my electrics - best course?

Hi there

My washer dryer appears to be tripping my electricity (sockets only). I am not sure if it's the washer, or the socket it's plugged into, so not sure if I need an electrician or a washer repair person.

Any suggestions welcome!

Thanks.

Try plugging something else into the socket?

As Keith suggests - try something else in the socket - I suspect that will probably be fine but if not then you know its the socket. Then if you can get an extension lead, try the washer in another socket - if that also trips then you know its the washer.

or try the machine in another socket (with an ext lead if required).

the heater element is the most likely suspect.
    Get some gorm.
  • Duh - thank you! It seems it is the washer as my hairdryer plugged into the same socket doesn't trip anything.

Will call out the washer repair man!

    Thanks again.
