Welcome Finance - something positive

I know they’re not a popular bunch on here, but I thought that I should post this.
I have a loan with Welcome finance, and had a PPI claim paid out at the end of last year. Since then, there has been a few issues with the date that they take the DD from my bank, and I’ve spoken to them a few times about it.
Anyway, they took my March payment on the 29th (should have been the 31st, which is when I get paid). It got returned by the bank as there wasn’t sufficient funds to cover and I’ve been hit with a £25 fine by HSBC.
Spoke to Welcome on Monday and explained the situation to them and they were full of apologies. Said they would ring back today to take a manual payment for March (which they did at the specified time) and set up a new DD for the correct date, and they have agreed to pay me back for the fine as it was their fault.
Just goes to show that being upto speed with payments and letting them know what is happening (rather than getting a nasty call from them when the payment was returned) can result in a painless conclusion to what could have been a sticky point.

Communication is underrated. If more people spoke to them as soon as the issues occur, they too would likely have a positive outcome.
It's too easy for people to bury their head and ignore it, leaving no other course of action.0 -
Another positive is that they are no longer lending!
Still a bunch of cowboys like!________________________________________
