Atlantic Electricity
Options
I use very little gas, only gas hob and find Ebico by far the cheapest for gas.
I used uswitch web site for electricity comparison and found Atlantic Online FP No Standing Charge, would save me quite a lot of money per year and switched online, had an email straight away confirming switch, then nothing
phoned uswitch after about 6 weeks and they said everything ok... waited still nothing.
phoned Atlantic after 8 weeks and told I can't have that tarrif just for electric ?? I also had to switch my gas
has anyone else had this problem? and why does the site seem to let you change and then just leave you not knowing what's happening?

Yes, there are many tariffs that are only granted if you receive both fuels when available. That is just the way the tariffs are structured - entirely reasonable.
Not telling you your application was bumped is not reasonable.0 -

Dear Beany,
I’m sorry to see the problem you’ve encountered with your switch to Atlantic Energy. As far as we are aware, when you switched to that tariff it was available to you despite being an electricity only switch. Could you please get in touch with us via the email address in my profile so that I can look into this for you further and ensure you get the tariff best for you.
Thank you,
