thanks edinburghlass (I always thought your name was edinburgh glass until now). I'll see how much more action this thread gets this afternoon/evening and then maybe ask Martin again. Maybe we could do a poll? Having just read that thread properly I agree with skintchick. I think the threads are exclusive, as opposed to inclusive. Maybe it would be better if people updated them less? I don't know now, although the general concensus seems to be that it is a good idea.

Perhaps the screen should be split on the DFW homepage bit. Listing the stickys, then the top 10 non-diary threads (with a link to see a seperate child board of them), then the top 10 diary threads or something (with a link to see the seperate child board for them).

Maybe this would give the best of both worlds and I'm sure someone coud figure out how to do it?

Well having a child board is keeping them on this board IMHO. It's not like it's a new branch of the root tree.

Besides, diaries are of most interest to the "regulars", who know (or should know) how to navigate by now...
