Zantedeschia Calla Arum Lily
I have a beautiful very large white Zantedeschia Arum lily in my pond, I've never taken it out of the water, it just sits on one of the ledges and has very large beautiful flowers every year.
What I want to know is, can you plant the coloured lillies in the same way. I've bought some and they are shooting in small pots, but I would like to transfer them as marginals into the pond.
Has any one tried this with the coloured lillies and have they had any success. Also are they winter hardy, even with the heavy frost and very low temperatures the white one has not been affected and is growing like mad again.
I live in the South East, Herne Bay and our new garden is South facing.
Any constructive help would be very appreciated.

I grow hundreds of the white Arum lily but all the coloured ones have always failed in winter, so we no longer bother with them (and that's in warmer winter than this year. ) maybe others have had better luck.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
