paintin rattan furniture

I've got a dark wood wardrobe I want to pant white, ok about what to do with the wood part,but the doors have rattan square panels..how do I paint them? is it just a matter of slowly covering all the cracks each coat will leave? spraying them? cheers

far better to spray them. same as lloyd loom furniture.

spray every time, plasticote is quite hard wearing.
