I'm on sensodyne pronamel at the moment. The sensitivity seems to have settled nicely. That maybe due to that or because my gums hurt more than than that that I can't feel it! Were settled yesterday until the evening. They seem to hurt worse then which is just ... weird!! Right now barely a twinge ... see how we are tonight. The sensodyne pronamel tastes quite nice too doesnt it!

Just a word of caution to those of you who use Corsodyl mouthwash (I think you mean that, not cortisol) it can stain the teeth quite badly and shouldn't be used for any length of time. I know some dentists actively tell patients NOT to use it.
Personally I find Sensodyne Pronamel has been brilliant - it's the only one I've tried that's made a difference and I've tried loads

Went to dentist yesterday. He says all looks ok and no work needs doing. That said he only polished my teeth and didn't scale then with the water. Any ideas why he didn't do this? Was it so he didn't upset the gums after they have just settled down in the past few days?

Probably because there was nothing to scale off. We dont do it to make people think they are having something done, we do it to remove hard calculus. If you have none there there is logically nothing to removed. The polishing would have been to just shift some surface stains. Take as a good thing that you are looking after them well :)
