Tesco Rant 1...Rant 2

Two rants about Tesco, first, we saw some Easter eggs priced at 95p, bought three plus other items, paid and when we checked the receipt we had been charged £2 each with £1 off at the end of the bill!!!
Went back and the staff tried to say that was the right price, 3X95p=£5!!!!
Then they realised the price had gone up and the shelf ticked had not been changed. So managed, begrudgingly, to refund the difference.
So in Easter week Tesco more than double the price of Easter eggs!!!!!
Second they have built a huge new Tesco in Worthing, bigger shop means more choice thinks I. Look for thin sliced bread to go in the toasting bags, row upon row of bread but NO thin sliced!
Then looked for a hard toothbrush, only soft and medium on the shelves!
Looked for the clear type soap, only Pears available!
There had my rant, I am sure you have similar experiences.

No...not at all!
Shop elsewhere perhaps?... 'shelf ticked had not been changed' or did you mean 'shelf ticket had not been changed'....we all make mistakes don't we?0 -
Oh dear you sound like me....appears that everything or anything you wanted was not available so the whole trip was a disaster l really think l end up looking for the negatives when l get wound up.
Can l ask....why thin bread for toaster bags, will not medium do, thats what we use.
Thinking about it...there is nothing worse than products that are not priced, drives me mad, mad, mad0 -

I am glad it isn't just me! I hate "no price" on shelf even more than "wrong price". (Why is it I always find items with no price every time I go in a shop!!)0 -

You should have been refunded double the difference - that's their policy when you've been overcharged.0 -
Thanks for your comments, glad I am not the only one. Thin sliced bread was for MIL to go into the toasted sandwich bags, medium sliced won't go in the toaster slot.
No I don't use Tesco often, we live in France and just use it as a quick place to pick up some bits. Oh yes why are the Horlicks refills more expensive than the plastic pots?
There, think I had better calm down now!!!!!!!!0 -

I agree, same thing happened us last week, bought items, scanned incorrectly and went to CS desk, after a "superior" had been called and agreed the items had scanned at the wrong price the CS asst decided we could have the difference refunded...my wife said "do you not mean Double the difference"...yes said the girl and refunded the correct amount....
it looks to me that they won't "double the difference" unless you ask, and nowhere could I see that "policy" displayed...even on the web site....so if anyone knows where to find this...can they post a link....I would love to print myself a copy just to have handy...I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -

You normally can ask to have it thin sliced.0 -
The Easter eggs were on offer last week, better than half price. Their normal price been £2, not sure what the offer is this week, but sound like 2 for £3 so works out at £1.50 each.
As for hard toothbrushes I always have problems finding them in our local Tesco when I want them, I now buy a couple when they have some in.If you find you are drinking too much give this number a call. 0845 769 75550
