correct tv buying options

I know I could post a budget on here and get a range of which tv I should buy.
Just wondered if there was a website/flowchart you could enter details
Size of room , distance from screen, viewing habits ( films etc) and of course the important budget , AND then get a 'result' of which tv to buy.

Still in the process of decorating , so until the carpet is chosen and paid :D
cant even venture a budget, so this is something in the planning stage.

Lots of help in http://www.avforums.com/ some of it easy to do, some of will amaze you at just how much effort some people will go to, just to watch TV.

Noit sure if you can still do it, but on the LG website, it allowed you to simply plan your room, on line, position the TV & they would suggest which models to consider.

& when you do decide, look into http://www.richersounds.co.uk for some of their offers.but join there VIP club NOW, to be on their mailing list. THEN see if John Lewis will price match & apply their 5 year guarantee.

Once you start looking at the gurantee aspect, it'll be as confusing as choosing a telly!!

    Have fun!

The AV forums WILL suggest 'better' or other choices, if you ask. They'll know why one is preferable to the other.

Think you may need to register, but there is a HUGE comment thread there ... http://www.avforums.com/forums/tv-should-i-buy/

& I'm a fan of LG brand, since Philips decided to not be so strong in TV, as they were in the past.
Lots other brands will be suggest, like everything else we buy!

Don't forget while decorating to plan the all important power sockets, Aerial cable runs and the now required Ethernet cable installation. Budget for a strong wall bracket too.
For TV get the best, biggest you can afford from Pioneer and Panasonic stables.
