Hiya
I must get better at this diary malarky, nearly 2 weeks since my last entry... Just not good enough!!
Well all going well here. First of of all my dad is making progress, however still not out of the woods yet, should know more in a few weeks once they see how the chemo is doing:(
Im really chuffed with myself 4/5 days last week i made my own lunch, so far this week 3/5 (worked BH, toady & tom is all ready in the fridge) Meal plans are working well & sticking to it
Eon advised me that wef June my payments are going down to £78 pm - So another £30 less on the monthly expenditure
Bought office 97, so all my SS are all up and running. Noting all spends here on in!!
Only managed OP of £395 in May. But im still pleased, as the trip to scotland set me back about £400-£500 and never touched the o/d. Going up again in 3 weeks but already paid for flight. Should be able to OP around £600 in June
Oh and a query for you guys. This is the 1st month we done our OP into an ISA, how do you record this is on your mortgage SS? I thought i would just keep it in as an OP - ultimately it will all end up in the Mortgage acc? What do you reckon?
Cheers

Thats tricky about the ISA as you would still be paying interest on the full amount of your mortgage until it comes off of course so the figures wouldnt be right? How long before it will be off the mortgage.
Hope your dad makes better progress.
good luck with that high amount in JuneMPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Hiya
Yeah i would still be paying interest - but then i will be earning in the ISA & at a better rate - So at worst my ss will be slightly skewed in my favour? Dont know how best to do it..... guess if i want to be precise i may need to get a ss that takes into account separate savings:question:

Hiya
Well what a hellish few weeks ive had since my last post:(
Unfortunately we lost my dad 2 weeks ago, he battled so hard, but it was not to be, they just caught it too late. At 62 he was no age - but he was brave to the end. We managed to have some quality time towards the end, so taking some comfort from that.
Ive been moping around aimlessly since but decided today to give myself a good kick up the b*m and get on with things - Just as he would have wanted.
Well back to my MFW quest - somehow managed to put £700 in the ISA in June, not sure how as spent a fortune flitting between here and Scotland ... but shows it can be done:)
And ive changed my strategy somewhat, i now wont be paying my mortgage until January  Decided to get back all my op's (£5700 in total) and redirect them into the ISA's. It wont be jaw dropping figures, but it will be an extra few hundred.... and every little helps !! My aim is to put in £1300 each month to the ISA (£700 reg mortgage payment & £600 OP) So lets see how that goes
Still not doing too many NSD, but cut my 'silly' spending tremendously - Its amazing how the saving each month adds up
Ive also done quite well on TCB with £550 tracked:TNow on 110% cb, but got nothing else to do..... All insurances, utilities, lottery, magazines done....... Any other ideas on how to make best use of the 110%?
Think thats all for now
