I know what you mean about putting it into savings and not the mortgage is mentally challenging lol. But as long as you dont feel the need to use it for something else.
Its hard to start taking lunches when you are not used to it and its having the energy to do them either the night before or in the morning. I have to do four a day lol
Its all the little things that make up the bigger payment.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Hiya
Pam - re the ISA, Can be quite controlled(sometimes) So will be able to leave it there. The only thing i might have to use it for is a new combi boiler, at 13 years old it gotta go at some point, although touch wood its been going good since we got it desludged 2 yrs ago.
Forgot to mention also got a paltry £30 pm payrise - But totalled with my savings detailed in my previous post thats almost £100 pm extra.
Also just done my first weekly meal plan & matching shoppping list. Just waiting for dd2 to wake up from her nap so i can get myself upto Lidls & Mr T's :j
Oh and last thing - Just made up a spreadsheet so i can track my grocery/misc spends. Going to detail everything. Think this will be a real eye opener for me, cos it really does seem to burn a hole in my purse

Yeah just been reading the grocery challenges/old style boards - Think i will have a practice run on my own in May - Then join in with the June chalenge. Picked up some real good ideas about meal planning/batch cooking etc.
It does help now my love affair with Mr T's is over - Went to Aldi for the 1st time ever yesterday, and been going to Lidl's regularly over the last month or so. Things are so much cheaper - tho do find i still need to go to T's to top up
Bring it on........:beer:0 -

Hiya
Just checking in with a update from me! Wow been 2 weeks since i posted!
Unfortunately my MFW quest has took a bit of a back seat as my dad got diagnosed with acute leukemia and i spent last week in Scotland with himSo was a really bad time. Although today i have spoke to his nurse & they have realised its not Leukemia, its turns out its a form of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, so whilst its still a really agressive cancer, im hoping for a better outcome. Will know more after i speak to his consultant tomoorrow.... fingers crossed for us x
Have done quite well on the MS front....
Positives:)- Up about £170 on TCB (Mainly due to 2 x £75 on Aviva car insurance)
- Sold £250 on ebay
- Stuck to my meal plans for 2 weeks!
- Transferred my current acc to A&L which should net me £100
- £8 from Surveys
- No NSD
- Been buying lunch at work
Also realised i dont have MS office on my PC(only trial which has now expired), so my spreadsheets have went to pot & no longer work.... So will have to spend out on that
Thats about all for now

That's really tough news about your Dad.
