my heating only comes on when it feels like it!!???please help..

we had a Worcester Bosch boiler put in around 2.5 years ago with a digital thermostat & for the last few months the heating only comes on sporadically (sp!) we think it could be the programming as on sundays it wont come on atall until very late evening, you can keep trying to put the heating on & it wont come on, the flame will display on the thermostat as if the heatings on but the actual boiler doesnt ignite,
was just wondering if theres any plumbers around who could possibly advise? or any help would be great please?
we have changed the battery in the thermosta & no diffenence, iots driving me mad because i'm always cold & think i'll put the heating on for a bit (like now) & it wont come on:mad:

I fitted an RF2 to a Vaillant 18 months ago or so.
Flame symbol comes up , green light on receiver but boiler doesn't fire.
The receiver isn't passing the signal on.
Have you tried turning the stat down so the flame symbol goes out then back up? Until you get a replacement.
I got a new one free from Drayton but at 2.5 years not sure if they will do that.
Can you get your installer to confirm the above?

yes we have tried turing the stat down then up & repeated throughout the day but no difference, its working now after not all day!
thankyou & i may try & phone Drayton just to see if they will give us a new one, i can try! if not will ask the plumber who fitted our boiler, many thanks.

Chuck the Drayton rubbish out and have a Honeywell CM 927 fitted. The best and easiest to use at present.
