I have just purchased a universal notebook adapter from Argos today after my HP adapter went kaput from overheating. But when I've got it home, I've noticed my laptop requires 1.7amps and this universal notebook adapter is only 1.5!! Is there no way I can get it to work? Argos have said it is exempt from the 30 day moneyback guarantee

power supply unit aka universal notebook adapter0

no I didn't get any assistance, as it was the only universal adapter available i presumed that it would be universal0

Well you'll not be able to claim you were mis-sold then.
Where are you reading that it's only 1.5amp output, this seems extremely low (so low I suspect you're reading the input) Is there any other ratings on the back/manual?0
