I wont bother asking for help here. seem people are more interested in forcing their opinions across on how everyone should behave rather than answering questions asked.

  • I know it's annoying for you but to be fair to him and although you were honest about the condition of the item some sellers do make up stuff like this when they don't like the price they get. Also it sounds like he may still want the item. So I think you should 'wipe your mouth' and get him a picture, it is a bit of hassle but you could still get a buyer for your item if you comply.

I must admit i would be suspicious that you had tried to get out of the sale because you hadn't got the price you wanted. I doubt that ebay would remove any feedback on the grounds of that email as he's not trying to get more out from the sale than you originally listed. As you refused to sell.

Did you actually speak to the buyer before you refunded them? As the item is obviously working as you say its plugged in. You would have been better off offering them it for a reduced price due to you misdescribing it.You may have to take this one on the chin and next time make sure your description is accurate.

Why don't you just send him a picture? It can't be that hard to do, and if you look at it from the buyer's POV, they don't know you, so how do they know you're not making it up? Sending a picture will prove that you're not lying, as does not take that much of an effort.

I think he is out of order I mean the she refunded him + an extra £5. If I was the buyer I would just bid on another and move on.

Is his email enough for ebay to remove any feedback he may leave if i refuse to go unplug it from its new place (which is hard to get to) and then go to my mum's to get my camera and send him a picture?

    .

Did you take a pic for the ebay listing? if so i can see why the buyer would be a bit annoyed because it was fine in the ebay pic and now its melted, in the time the listings been up, However i think i would accept the refund and move on, alternatively ask the buyer for the £5 back and sell it to them for less! You said its plugged in so does it work then?

based on what you have said here i would leave you negative feedback

You keep saying that you don't want to miss out on selling it for a fair price, but this buyer still seems to be interested in the item so you're being rather silly not just sending him a picture, it's almost like you have something to hide.

And like someone already mentioned, with your attitude i would leave you a negative also.

Has anyone actually answered the question i asked in the first place? No. As normal the 100% perfect sellers and buyers here on MSE have all commented on everything rather than answer what was asked in the first place.

If you dropped out the moral high ground and "i would do this, why dont you" crap people wouldnt get p1ssed off when you all spout stuff people havent asked for (your opinion on how all seller should perform weather they are a company or not) but hey the other perfect sellers will click that little thanks button so you can sleep easy that you have kept ebay safer for one more night.

Thanks for the reminder why i dont come here very often anymore.
