Credit report problem - help please

Options
Hopefully somebody may be able to help point me in the right direction with regards to my credit report and incorrect information on it.

the first problem i have is that:

I have 1 credit card with LloydsTSB, that had its limit increased from £5k to £6.5k, and it has a balance on that card of £5.8k.
The problem is that my credit report shows that i have 2 credit cards with LloydsTSB, the first is showing with a limit of £5k and a balance of £5.8k and the 2nd card is showing a limit of £6.5k and a balance of £5.8k.

To anybody looking at my report is shows that i have 2 cards and owe nearly £12k, as opposed to 1 card and owing £5.8k :(

The second problem i have with my credit report is that:

2 Loans (1 for £10k and 1 for £3k, again with LloydsTSB) which have been cleared are still showing on my credit report, even though i cleared both these loans in Oct 2009.

I contacted Credit Expert, who raised disputes with Lloydstsb to clear these entries on 14 Feb 10, however Lloyds simply responded to Credit Expert that i need to contact lloydstsb direct on the customer services number. However upon ringing this number you get theyre 'customer services' dept who were no help whatsoever and tried to sell me an option to add to my account which monitors my credit report and fraud at £6.99 permonth.

The upshot is that my credit score has dropped from 750 to 150 and this is having an impact on my credit score and more importatnly it prevented me from recently getting a job as it was within the financial sector and a credit score was needed to be passed to be employed

I dont know where to turn now, can anybody please help??

Thanks

You need to talk to your credit card provider and your loan provider again, i.e. LloydsTSB.

It is their job to ensure that data they have passed to credit reference agencies is correct and maintained.

    Otherwise, try CAB.

Or write to Lloyds - don't waste any more time phoning. If that does not produce a result then take it to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Hello. I had a problem with a credit card account with the TSB. It was to do with me reporting a card lost and them issuing a new one with a different card number. This resulted in a new entry on my credit report but the old account and it's balance remained so it appeared that I had two accounts to anyone checking my report. If you contact

    Credit Bureaux Liasion Officer,
    LTSB
    Victory House
    Trafalgar Place
    Brighton
    BN1 4FY

They will sort this no problem. It will speed it up if you can send them a print out showing both entries from your Experian report.

    Good luck. :)
