Im looking for a new desktop pc,
I already have an Acer Aspire T120E which is on its last legs, bought back in 2005, no upgrades as not 100% sure what I can do with it. Just a 250GB external hard drive plugged up to it.
Just looking for something which will run a bit quicker. I have formatted it several times to see if that works but unfortunately it always seems to slow down. All my work / music is stored on the external hard drive.
Any suggestions of what to do / buy?

Budget?
any hint of the kind of thing you'd want to do on it?
if its just basic stuff you can do alot worst than a bog standard dell type thing, mid-range there is little to be gained building from scratch but have been some people have been managing lower cost starting with a 'bare bones' kit and adding final components/reusing an old monitor.... probably not much better 'value' tho given the faff involved0 -
Ideally about 300-400.
I was looking at http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/656/863/-/12427273/Acer-Aspire-Revo-R3610-Intel-Atom-Dual-Core-330-1-6GHz-4GB-500GB-Windows-7-Home-Premium-Nettop-Desktop-PC/Product.html?searchtype=genre
Obviously no disk drive? Would hook up to current monitor and external hard drive. Or are there any others you could suggest?0 -

Lenovo's are good solid desktops, you also can't go wrong with an HP desktop.0
