Worked fine for me on a mac running 10.6.3 and safari 4.05.0

Tried multiple values and yes and no for the first time buyer bit
Worked fine for me using mozilla firefox 3.6.2 Windows 7 both 32 and 64 bit ultimate (2 computers)
As I run the 'no script' add-on, I had to use 'trust moneysavingexpert.com'
With scripting disabled, the result was that entering anything into the box and clicking calculate resulted in the page reloading with no calculation done. So this may be the problem some will suffer - i.e browser security set too high
As I said, no problem for me using the security settings correctlyFreebies you don't really need can be given to your local Hospice Charity shop so they can raise funds they desperately need. Pass on your good fortune :A0 -
When you put any amount over £250,000 it says "as you aren't a first time buyer..." even if you have selected that you are.
Proud to be a MoneySaver!

Yep got that too
Needs to say 'As you aren't a first time buyer buying a property below £250000'Freebies you don't really need can be given to your local Hospice Charity shop so they can raise funds they desperately need. Pass on your good fortune :A0 -

I completely fail to see the need to use this.
I disagree entirely. I found the page very informative for all types of people. The full explanation of all the rates on the page, advance notice of a rate change and a calculator handy to just click rather than reach for a seperate item or launch calculator on your screen makes life simpler, which is always good.
It would be all too easy to think you only have to pay 1% and get a nasty shock further down the road if you are liable to pay 3%. Also you can see that asking for the price to be reduced from £251,000 to £249,999 for a first time buyer would save you £7350 as an example. Maybe you could offer to buy the kettle seperately for £1001 if the seller really wants £251,000 thereby saving on taxFreebies you don't really need can be given to your local Hospice Charity shop so they can raise funds they desperately need.
