Panasonic dvd/vhs dmr-es30v no power

Hi,no power to my dvd/vhs unit ? any body go a guide to fix this ? its a panasonic dmr-es30v.Unfortunate no under warranty

    I appear to have the same problem. I have checked the plug fuse and the fuse nearest to the power inlet. Both are OK. I have also checked the power lead. I just don't have any LED display and the fan is not running.

    I unplugged the device as I have heard, or read, that some sort of reset occurs. I left it for some time whilst I scoured the net for some information.
    I plugged it back in and the VHS tape ejected. Thus it must have power. Then I got the remote control(RC) and pressed Standby and low and behold the LED panel lit up. So I disconnected, put the cover back on and then put it back in place and plugged it in. Dead as a dodo. So I changed the batteries in the RC and kept on pressing the Strandby and eventually it all came back to life.
