These comments are spot on, research will help you feel more confident.
On the day make sure you give yourself plenty of time, know where you are going etc. get there early etc.
Before you go in breathe and relax, think of really confident performers and act like them (to an extent).
Believe in yourself. Good luck!0 -

I do all our recruiting and I've got to say, it is just as much a nightmare as looking for a job.
So, when it comes to nerves, just remember that those people sitting there facing you are DYING for you to be the right person. They really want you to succeed and do well in the interview, and they are used to seeing people freezing up and getting nervous, and it won't stop them taking you on if they still think you are the right one. They don't want to weed people out - they want to be able to think 'yes please!'. They are on your side totally.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

Whenever I find myself getting worked up about something I ask myself "What's the worse that can happen"?
In this case, the worse that can happen is that you don't get the job. Well, you already don't have the job, so in actual fact, the worse that can happen is that nothing happens. Given that that would leave you in the same position you are currently in, and that you are currently coping with it perfectly well, that happening is really not something worth getting stressed about. If you follow?
It's a bit like the 'Always Look On The Bright Side of Life' quote,
"I mean - what have you got to lose?
You know, you come from nothing - you're going back to nothing.
What have you lost? Nothing!"
I know it's not the best logic in the world, but it does sometimes help to keep things in perspective.
Good luck, I'm sure you'll be just fine!0 -
Remember also to be nice to everyone you meet on the way in or out - even if you think they will have no say in the recruitment process.
When I'm interviewing prospective new staff I always ask the receptionists what they thought. If interviewees are brusque and offhand with people thay think they don't need to impress I want to know about it. You wouldn't believe what some prospective employees have let slip.
Good luck0 -
God yes. At a firm I worked for a man blew it totally by being rude to our receptionist. And he was the number one candidate and in line to get an 80k job. But our director just said 'we don't want someone like that working here' and that was that.Cash not ash from January 2nd 2011: £2565.:j

Hi all
Interview went well - I answered all questions fully, asked if they needed more details, and was warm and friendly
It turns out there might only be 10 positions available so 160 being interviewed is not good odds.
I did have answers written out for all 20 - and practised all of these, but it's hard when you still think you have a chance of forgetting everything!
Thanks again from all the advice, actually started to enjoy it as it went on..
