Apex Fares

I am hoping to travel from Abergavenny to Manchester on Sunday 15 October but cannot find any cheap fares.

Does anyone know if they are available on this route or are they released nearer the date? £35.50 for a single trip is a bit steep.

    Ring National Rail Enquiries 08456 484950 (I think that is the number! It'll be online anyway) and ask for the date that they will release these tickets as APEX. I think you have tried a tad too early.

    Yes, may be worth trying in a couple of weeks. When available the Apex is £15.50.
    The downside is that there only appears to be one train on that day - if it's popular they may not offer cheap fares.
