Thistle Barbican

I am going to London in a couple of weeks time with my 14 year old daughter.
I booked this hotel through ''Londontown'' website, but since then have read some terrible reviews. I am now on the point of cancelling as it sounds so bad.
Has anyone on this board stayed there? Any advice would be welcome.

i stayed there about two years ago and i am sorry to say i hated it. on the map it looked relaly close to teh tube but it was ages away (20mins with bags) and my suitcase wheely handle broke on the way.
we went to a late show and on the way back i felt quite wary walking through the area back to the hotel.

the hotel itself looked grand but our room was soooo small you could hardly move.

i was really disappointed by it but luckily we were only staying one night.

me and my boyfriedna re travelling to london next march and are staying in travelodge kings cross for 26 each night!

I've also stayed at the Thistle Barbican, and found it to be really awful. The Carvery we had was inedible, we didnt eat it and they didnt charge us for it.

The room was grotty and I wouldnt want to stay there again!!

There are much nicer hotels available.
