Thanks for all your comments. I should have taken legal advice at the time, but I really thought I could actually save money this way.
What has happened has happened, and I'm not writhing in a pit of despair... at least I still have my home and my family. I just hope others in a similar position won't fall into the snares I did. It's a pity people like this are allowed to practice their deceits.
Hopefully one or more people might read this and not fall into the trap I did.
I am going to consider trying to get some of it back, but realistically that's probably not very likely.

Well BR on Monday and yesterday kept getting calls on mobile from manchester, well, I'm still in the habit of not answering the phones .. keep forgetting I can and should now I'm waiting for the OR call. Fortunately, OR isn't there.
Anyway, get a letter today from this Bankruptcy Protection Fund based in Manchester and put 2 and 2 together. Only mail I've had all week since BR ?! eerie lol
