unfortunately got a speeding ticket.
plenty of info on how to pay but they dont tell you how to go about appealing or contesting.
i was done in chiswick after the roundabout from north circular coming onto m4/a4. says i was doing 47mph, it is almost impossible to get to such a speed in such a short stretch of road form the round about, in addition i def did not see a flash from the camera.

does anyone know what happens if i want to contest and how i can get to see the photos etc
thanks

  • if you received summons through the post throw it away, and also the reminder a month later. go to court and say you never received any summons, they cant prove you did and they didnt send it recorded so it will be thrown out if you keep your nerve.

Just remember that lying in court if you are under oath is perjury, which is a criminal offence which carries severe penalties several times more serious than a speeding offence and even die hard campaigners on Pepipoo advise against anybody taking this route.
  • i quite agree, and i did wrestle with my concience beforehand. i did take the view however, that as the offence didnt hurt or harm anyone or cost someone it was something i could live with. if the offence was more serios i wouldnt have taken this route

This is not true. There is no need for them to prove that you received it.
