I've just received my Merseyside travel pass. I can use the buses, the Mersey ferries, ( if only they would stop playing that song), Merseyrail which can take me as far as Liverpool, Southport and Chester. Unfortunately Cheshire residents can't use their pass on Merseyrail.
People of Thurrock, please use your bus pass on the Tilbury (foot) Ferry to help keep it running to Gravesend - of course you can take your bike over too..
(My understanding is that the transport operator gets to claim about 0.50 per pensioner journey ?)0 -
Anyone over 60 can go to the Lowry Centre Vue Cinema at 1pm on a Monday and pay just £3. This includes free tea or coffee PLUS biscuits. Visit the MyVue website and click on Seniorvue. Getting to the Lowry Centre is easy by Manchester Metrolink, which is free to bus-pass holders after 9.30am.0

On Tuesdays there are discounts at many of the outlets at the Lowry Centre. Ask at the Information Desk at the main entrance.0

Can anyone point me in the direction of the uses of the national concessionary travel pass? I know the basics, but is there a site that tells you more?0

You can get the Senior Railcard from your Council for £5.00 - but you can't have the National Bus Pass as well - it's one or t'other!
(Of course getting the concessionary bus pass from the council doesn't stop you getting the senior rail card in the usual way at the usual price.)0 -

My mum's council in Richmond North Yorkshire doesn't do that offer so i think it's only some....
